About Us

Ian Butterworth was born in Buckinghamshire, and took photography at school initially as a ‘cop-out’ subject, but it soon became clear that he had a real talent and was definitely the path for him to follow.

At 17 Ian set off to travel the world, and for 2 years explored everywhere from the jungles of Burma to the outback of Australia; Australia being where Ian would establish his highly successful and award-winning photographic career before returning to the UK in 2013. Ian has been recognised by the world’s leading award councils including D&AD, International Photography Awards New York, Clio, One Show & International Colour Awards Masters Cup New York.
